Read more The opposite of Namebase? 💳   The Base Network Layer-2 is launching Basenames, allowing users to convert their complicated wallet addresses into human-readable subdomains on the network.   Created using technology developed by the Ethereum Name Service, Basenames will allow anyone to easily identify or establish their on-chain identity on Base.   Basenames are initialized under an existing ENS domain, which is known as the parent, allowing users to create an unlimited number of subdomains.   The owner of the parent ENS will then have full control over these subnames, which ends with the suffix '.base.eth'   To promote a fair launch process for all interested buyers, all available Basenames will be listed through a 36-hour Dutch auction.   The premium fee to secure the subdomains will start at 100 ETH and gradually decrease to 0.12 ETH over the first 12 hours.   According to the Layer-2's creator, Jesse Pollak, Basenames will go live later today.   The TON blockchain has been getting a lot of attention lately. Watch now Are you bullish on everything? 🐂    Solana-based perpetuals platform Drift Protocol has launched its own prediction market known as BET.   Short for 'Bullish on Everything', the prediction market will allow users to utilize over 30 different types of assets as collateral, and to earn yield of top their existing positions.   Built on top of Drift's perpetuals engine, the BET markets will also feature options for cross-collateral trading as well as structured bets.   The BET markets on Drift are currently live and feature 2 contracts associated with the upcoming US presidential election.   Since the launch of Drift's prediction markets, the price of the protocol's native DRIFT token has risen by 28.1% from $0.32 to $0.41 today.     The 2nd round of Sonic Labs's Meme Season competition is live, with 750,000 FTM in prizes up for grabs for holders and teams of participating memecoins.   Meme Season spotlights the leading memecoins on Opera and the upcoming Sonic chain while distributing sFTMx to both new and existing community members.
