    Tennessee Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Attempting to Provide Material Support to ISIS

    Benjamin Carpenter (also known as Abu Hamza) of Knoxville, Tennessee, was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 20 years of supervised release for attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) in connection with providing translation services to ISIS, a designated foreign terrorist organization.
