Solana-based decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Jito has revealed plans to introduce a governance token, JTO. This token will enable holders to participate in voting on crucial decisions related to the liquid staking protocol.
The foundation intends to airdrop 100 million tokens out of a total of one billion to the Jito community, encompassing JitoSOL holders, Solana validators running Jito Solana MEV clients, and users of Jito's MEV services.
In other news, Standard Chartered is facilitating exchange services for China's digital yuan, the founder of Cosmos plans to fork Cosmos Hub, and Magic Eden has launched its own cross-chain NFT and crypto wallet.

Multinational bank Standard Chartered (STAN) has started offering exchange services for the digital yuan, China's central bank digital currency (CBDC).
China's digital yuan, also known as e-CNY, is considered the most advanced CBDC among those being researched or developed by major economies, with a transaction volume reaching 1.8 trillion yuan ($250 billion) as of the end of June this year.

Cosmos co-founder Jae Kwon is initiating a fork of the Cosmos Hub (ATOM), the central chain of the Cosmos network, following the community's approval of proposal 848. This proposal establishes the maximum inflation of the Hub's native token, Atom, at 10%.
The fork will lead to a new network, AtomOne, along with the associated token, ATOM1. The launch strategy involves rewarding a significant portion of the genesis supply to those who opposed the proposal, while those who voted affirmatively will face "slashing."

Magic Eden envisions a crypto future that spans multiple blockchains and has announced the closed beta launch of its crypto wallet browser extension to support this goal.
The wallet will be compatible with the four blockchains currently supported by Magic Eden on its NFT marketplace: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and the Ethereum scaling network Polygon.
