The Survey Corps is coming to the metaverse! ⚔️

The popular manga and anime series 'Attack on Titan' is making its way into The Sandbox metaverse!

With this latest collaboration, 'Attack on Titan' will now join the likes of other prominent titles, brands, and celebrities that have lent their Iikeness and intellectual property to The Sandbox, such as Snoop Dogg and The Smurfs.

The partnership will see the creation of a new 'Attack on Titan' section within Sandbox's virtual world and new themed NFTs.

Additionally, users will be able to participate in a LAND sale to purchase virtual plots of land within that area of The Sandbox metaverse.

The themed area and accompanying NFTs will be slated to launch later this year.

Since the announcement, the price of The Sandbox's native SAND token has remained unchanged.

In the same vein as traditional gaming companies partnering with different IPs, Web3 games and metaverses are now looking to adopt the same strategy. While it is a big achievement to collaborate with these brands, it remains to be seen whether these efforts will translate into a growing player base.

A new zkVM Layer-2 ... on Bitcoin? ⛓️

ZKM, the sister company of the Ethereum Layer-2 solution Metis, plans to launch GOAT Network, a new Bitcoin Layer-2 solution that utilizes zero-knowledge technology.

According to the team, the project will be the first Bitcoin Layer-2 to launch with a decentralized sequencer and utilize a shared ownership model.

The team also claims to have received commitments of over 5,000 BTC from institutional node providers and has begun its Series A fundraising round.

Node operators on the network will receive yield from gas fees and mining rewards in the form of the network's native GOAT token.

Their testnet is slated to begin this month, while the actual mainnet is expected to go live later this quarter.
