Just Released From Gallup Press: Blind Spot |
|
Last year, anger, stress, worry and sadness reached record highs, but unhappiness has been increasing globally for a decade. How did leaders miss this? Gallup's latest book, Blind Spot: The Global Rise of Unhappiness and How Leaders Missed It, examines this question and more. Here's a small excerpt on strengths and wellbeing: "At work, I have the opportunity to do what I do best every day. Less than one-third of workers strongly agree with that item. They are doing a job that does not allow them to use their strengths … This emotional detachment adds to the world's misery, and leaders miss it because they do not focus on how people feel in the workplace." |
