Tomorrow is Dave and my 16th anniversary, and I thought it would be fun to take a little walk down memory lane (especially for some of the newer readers who haven't combed through my archives!) This email won't follow my traditional format:
But fear not, things will be back to "normal" again next week! 👍🏻 Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start... This is still the one and only time I've actually been surprised! --> Simple wedding + shower gift ideas. As you shop for bridal shower and wedding gifts, use a few of these ideas to add a fun personal spin to a gift that's already on the registry (stick to the registry, friends!) --> My thoughts on Dream Weddings. I'm so thankful we got married before Instagram and Pinterest were around. It saved us thousands of dollars and countless hours trying to create a "dream wedding" based on what I would have seen on the internet. Our wedding was great... definitely not "dream wedding" status though. --> Why we waited a week for our honeymoon. The decision to wait a week for our honeymoon was fairly unconventional... but it turned out to be a such a great idea. If you can swing it with vacation time, this is one of my best tips for engaged couples! --> 10 ways to repurpose a wedding dress. If you'd like to repurpose your wedding dress here are a bunch of great ideas. You may also read more about why I chopped up my wedding dress... and what I did with it. 😉 --> 8 Frugal or Free Date Night Ideas In all honesty, Dave and I aren't really "date night" people -- at least not in the traditional sense of hiring a babysitter and going out. If you can relate, you'll love our frugal and free date night ideas. --> Pursing everyday love in a world of Hollywood romance. Let's not get sucked into Hollywood's portrayal of "romance" which can leave us feeling like our own relationships are lacking. I loved re-reading this post... and all the related marriage resources I linked to inside! Still looking for more? Feel free to browse my "archive" of marriage posts (with the knowledge that I have zero training or expertise in this area... just 16 years of experience and a desire to simplify complex topics like marriage, parenting, and family life.) Enjoy the week... I'll see you back here next week with another Favorite Things post. 😁 ~ Andrea |
