As Afghanistan falls to the Taliban, many have been making comparisons to other conflicts such as Vietnam and Iraq. In fact, in terms of U.S. public opinion, the Persian Gulf War was the only conflict since Korea that ended with more popular support than when it began. Both most recent wars, Afghanistan and Iraq, lost public support at varying speeds. With more of us going back to the office, we asked Americans what they expect from their workplace in terms of vaccination requirement policies. And finally, as students head back to school, I spoke with LaVerne Evans Srinivasan about the ways in which the U.S. education system continues to fall short of prepping young Americans for a lifetime of work.
