As the U.S. and a handful of nations rebound from the pandemic, Gallup's annual report on global emotions highlights the disparities in the emotional state of these and other countries. 2020 set a record high for negative emotions across the globe, with women with young children at home posting the highest scores of all.

Here in the U.S., as the Gallup Center on Black Voices marks a year since its founding, I speak with the Center's director, Camille Lloyd, about what we learned in year one and what's planned for #TheNext99.
