Short on Time? Head to the blog for 6 tips for simpler outdoor entertaining (and the first photos of our almost-finished pool area!) We recently realized all the kids could probably use bigger bikes (why do they keep growing!?) Thanks to Facebook Marketplace, they each got "new" bikes within a week, and we sold the old bikes too. As a result, this past week was filled with several family bike rides, followed by jumping in the pool to cool off. Simple summer pleasures... New on the Blog: --> 6 Tips for Simpler Outdoor Entertaining Do you love the idea of entertaining but, at the same time, feel too overwhelmed? Yup, I know the feeling! Entertaining is not something I'm naturally skilled at -- but it's something I've consistently forced myself to do over and over and over again for the last decade... I'm getting better at it (imagine that!) I'm excited to share a few of the tips that have helped me simplify entertaining... and I'm even more excited to share the first few pictures of our newly-renovated backyard pool, patio, deck and outbuilding! It's not 100% finished yet, but close enough for you to get a feel for how it will eventually look. >>> Find it all in this week's post! From The Archives: SIMPLE SUMMER RECIPE: One of our favorite, super simple, summertime lunches are Cheesy Chicken Ranch Wraps. Not only are they delicious, they are also really easy to make ahead of time, and perfect for on-the-go (or eating by the pool). SIMPLER SUMMER DAYS: Earlier this summer, I shared how Fun To-Do Lists offer an extra boost of excitement for our days at home together. I know many of you have already utilized this super simple (and totally free) tool to beat summer boredom... but I want to re-share it today for those who haven't given it a try. If you're feeling overwhelmed, or if your kiddos are bored, I highly encourage you to spend 5 minutes making a Fun To-Do List... you can thank me later! 😆 SIMPLE MONEY SAVING IDEAS: Wow, grocery store prices sure are going up, aren't they!?!?! I've found myself shopping at Meijer more again because Aldi just keeps raising their prices -- sometimes on a weekly basis! If you're feeling the pain of higher grocery prices, try implementing a few of these practical ways to slash your grocery bill (without clipping coupons). Questions & Comments? I love hearing from so many of you each week -- either in response to my email or in the comments of my post. Please know that I read every email and comment and make a huge effort to respond. If you have questions or comments regarding anything in the email, the post, or even an archived post (or if you just want to say "hi"), please feel free to reach out. I will see your messages and I'll respond to any questions A.S.A.P. Blessings, ~ Andrea |
