Support for Israel's Military Action Drops 10 Points | | The Data: Americans' approval of Israel's military action in Gaza has fallen 10 percentage points since September, now at 32%. Disapproval (60%) has reached the highest level recorded since Gallup began asking about the conflict in November 2023. Moment in Time: Disapproval has exceeded approval in every reading since March 2024. The most recent figures are from a July 7-21 poll, as Israel's campaign against Hamas entered its 21st month. Majority of Americans Rate Netanyahu Unfavorably | | The Highs: Fifty-two percent of Americans now view Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unfavorably, the highest in Gallup's trend since 1997. His favorable rating stands at 29%, with 19% expressing no opinion. Party Differences: A record-high 58-point gap separates Republicans and Democrats on Netanyahu. While 67% of Republicans view him favorably, just 19% of independents and 9% of Democrats agree. Read More | | | 4. Morality Lens Shifts With Age | | The Data: Majorities of adults aged 18 to 34 say changing one's gender and having an abortion are morally acceptable. Less than half of adults aged 55 and older agree. Conversely, older adults are more likely than younger adults to approve of medical testing on animals.
