Our family has been so excited to be outside again that even snow, sleet, and March Madness haven't kept us inside. Dave (and the kids) enjoyed their fair share of basketball over the weekend, but we were still able to cross off a handful of yard projects too -- including transplanting several larger shrubs and even a tree (we'll see if it survives!) This is my favorite time of year to do yard work, so I'm capitalizing on my eagerness to be outside and using my momentum to cross off several outside projects before "pool season" starts in mid-May! If you have an increased excitement or motivation to start a particular project, run with that this week. If not, sometimes forcing yourself to "just do it" will jumpstart your excitement and motivate you to keep going (it's worth a try!) ​ ​ simple food. This week, I'm sharing 3 specific routines our family uses to keep our home clean and organized enough. keep reading --> ​Our 3 Daily Routines​ in other news: Organized Water Bottles -- based on the number of questions I get about "how to keep all the cups / water bottles corralled / organized" I should possibly dedicate a full post to the topic. However, I'll just say that everyone in our family has ONE (yes, only one) water bottle. We keep all 6 water bottles in a basket on our kitchen counter where everyone can access them and easily grab them on their way out the door. Meanwhile, I don't deal with cups or water bottles all over the house. I also don't have cabinets or drawers filled with empty water bottles. We've done this for years and years (we had a lower spot when the kids were smaller). It's simple and it works! 👍🏻 We wash them every few days -- maybe that's gross, but that's how we roll. 🤷‍♀️ ​ ​ our menu: Crispy Chicken Salad (chopped chicken nuggets on salad), potato wedges, fruit Grilled Cheese, tomato soup, fruit ​Meatloaf, cheesy potatoes, roasted veggies​ ​Mexican Rice Skillet, Chips, salsa, guac, veggie tray Ham and cheese omelets, banana muffins, smoothies ​Stromboli, Caesar salad, fruit ​Charcuterie board for movie night I also tried this Chocolate Cream Pie recipe...
