| | | A new all-time high on Election Day π The world's largest cryptocurrency showcased its infamous volatility once more as Americans took to the polls today. The price of Bitcoin surged by 9.1% from just over $69,000 to a peak of $75,300, breaking past its previous all-time high of $73,800, as Trump began to take the lead ahead of Kamala Harris.
However, its price has since retraced back to $73,300 as of the time of writing, shortly after several news sources have claimed that Trump has already won the election. Over on Polymarket, Trump's odds of winning were hovering around 58% at the start of the morning.
However, Trump's lead began to widen over the course of the day, and is currently sitting at 99.4%, as most traders seem to think that he will ultimately claim victory.
