Sky founder Rune Christensen recently posted a proposal to discuss the next steps to 'recenter the Maker brand,'
Despite the successful relaunch of Sky and its new USDS stablecoin earlier in August, Christensen stated that some parts of the community are still confused about Sky's place within the Maker brand. Besides that, DeFi users still had a higher level of trust and affinity for the Maker brand than Sky. To address these issues, Christensen introduced three potential solutions - continuing with Sky as the core brand, reintroducing the Maker brand, or bringing Maker back while maintaining the USDS stablecoin.
Since its rebrand to Sky, the protocol's native MKR token has fallen by 45.1% from $2,140 to $1,180 today.

Most crypto users largely place their trust in names that are synonymous with the space and have been acknowledged by the community.
