Read more Any publicity is good publicity 🦛    Vitalik Buterin is known for selling off memecoins received by various projects for charitable purposes, and that is still the case, even today.   The co-founder of Ethereum recently sold 10 billion MOODENG tokens, an Ethereum-based memecoin inspired by the viral pygmy hippo Moo Deng, to fund further development of technology against airborne diseases.   The proceeds from the sale, worth approximately $181,000 in ETH, were then sent to Kanro, an entity formed by Buterin.   Normally, Vitalik's actions would have caused the price of the associated token to plummet soon after, as evidenced by other memecoins he received that were also sold for charity.   This time, however, the price of MOO DENG on Ethereum surged by 65% shortly after Vitalik posted about the memecoin on X.   The memecoin's market cap also rose from $49M to a peak of $109M but has since retreated to $85M today.   Exploring the Cosmos ecosystem? Watch now To greener pastures 🌿   A wallet drainer on the TON blockchain is shutting down, but its users may now be migrating to Bitcoin.   Fraud solutions provider Scam Sniffer recently posted a screenshot of the wallet-draining service announcing its closure, citing that there were not enough whales (victims) on the network. Users are advised not to click on any links from Symbiotic for now.   The Japanese Microstrategy. MetaPlanet, a Japanese investment firm said to be the Asian Microstrategy buys up another $6.7M worth of Bitcoin on Monday.   Crypto No Longer VAT Taxed in UAE. The change takes effect on 15 November, users will no longer need to pay the 5% levy when making crypto transactions.    Wet A** Phoney. Cardi B's official X account was seemingly compromised on Monday, promoting a memecoin related to her song (WAP). It is unlikely that the token is officially endorsed by Cardi B.   Bitget To Compensate Traders For Flash Crash. Bitget's token, BGB, plunged 52% on Sunday before swiftly recovering within an hour.
