| THIS WEEK ON THE BLOG: - An easy from-scratch cornbread recipe
- How to clean the inside of your dishwasher
- Practical ways to save (without worrying about grocery prices)
Our weather went from hot and dry to cold and rainy overnight on Sep 20 -- officially bringing Fall to West Michigan, right on cue. I'm not sad. 🥰 Now that our family has settled back into the school routine, I've been slowly working through a handful of non-routine maintenance tasks that need to be done eventually, but rarely make it on my daily or weekly to-do lists. I've already cleaned our shower and sink drains as well as both our dryer vents. I washed our slipcovers, cleaned/replaced our vacuum filters and belts, and deep-cleaned the mudroom... I'm making a little progress each week, which feels good! This week, I'm sharing how to thoroughly clean the inside of your dishwasher -- if you have a stainless dishwasher, you NEED to do this. Your appliance will last longer with proper maintenance and they will function (and smell) better too! I hope you enjoy reading AND integrating these recipes and tips into your own home and life. Next week, I'll be back with a handful of new Favorite Things! Have a great week, simple food. Cornbread is one of my favorite side dishes -- perfect with a steaming bowl of chili, a slow cooker full of pulled pork, or a massive Thanksgiving buffet. This recipe is super quick and easy to make and 100% from scratch. Oh, and it's delicious! | | | organized home. If you have a dishwasher, you need this easy 3-step tutorial.
