In a recent blog post, Vega highlighted its efforts to redirect focus on the platform's software and the launch of its new project, Nebula.
According to the team, Nebula would be a fully decentralized DEX with 'committed liquidity ', built on top of Vega's technology.
The team also added that Nebula will have its own native NEB token, and users may opt to exchange their existing VEGA for NEB.
The proposal also includes several actions to ensure a smooth transition, including the suspension of trading and redistribution of funds from the the on-chain treasury to existing stakers.
Additionally, USDT incentives will be provided to validators to keep the Vega network online for the next 2 months, ensuring that users have ample time to withdraw their funds.
Since the announcement on August 29, the price of VEGA has fallen by 60.9% from $0.16 to $0.06 today.
