After 16 years in this online space (WOW!) I've felt the desire to update much of my older content. I've done a bit of this over the last 3 years and plan to continue with many more updates this year.
Some examples:
adding more printables to old posts (especially recipes)
including better/bigger photos
linking to more relevant/updated sources and products
updating old content to be more relevant
deleting/redirecting outdated content (like favorite iPhone Apps in 2010 ๐)
My desire is to create a much better reading experience for YOU and recirculate some of my older content for the thousands of new readers who weren't around back in 2008!
As always, I'm excited to share more simple-living content with you in hopes that it blesses your life, your family, and your home.
And maybe I'll even get a podcast up and running before the end of the year!
simple food.
Gathering your family around the table does NOT need to be stressful, time-consuming, or complicated.
Let me help you simplify meal planning with 30+ easy recipes you can make in 30 minutes or less (plus a FREE printable!)
ONE WEEK IN: We officially have 1 week of school under our belts, and the mornings don't feel quite as painful as they did the first couple of days!
We're getting back into the swing of routines again (and simultaneously also looking forward to the upcoming 4-day weekend!)
THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING: Earlier this week, I was interviewed by World Magazine for their December issue -- which got me thinking, "I know it's only August, but the holidays will be here before we know it!"
I'm ALWAYS a fan of simplifying the holidays... but ironically, simple holidays usually require some pre-planning. So here's your reminder to plan ahead for a simpler holiday season (and don't let your friend/sister/coworker/mother/children talk you out of it!)
THE BEST BREAD KNIFE: I received this Wรผsthof bread knife as a wedding gift over 18 years ago and it is still my FAVORITE bread knife ever. It easily cuts the softest bread (even warm from the oven) and it's surprisingly really great for cutting watermelon and squash too!
WATERCOLOR BOOKS: Emily Lex Studio is one of the lovelier places on the internet. She's a fantastic artist that creates gorgeous watercolor designs. Nora absolutely LOVES her watercolor workbooks, and I always keep a stash of her adorable watercolor notecards on hand (I bundle them as gifts).
If you're looking for a fun gift idea, or if you'd like to pick up watercoloring as a new hobby (she offers online art classes) I highly recommend Emily Lex. She's a gem, she's extremely talented, and I'd love to give her a little extra business!
IT'S A POLISH CHICKEN: According to MANY of you who obviously know your chickens, the picture I shared last week is a Buff Laced Polish Chicken. Thank you! ๐
