HUGE Google Search document leak reveals inner workings of ranking algorithm Leaked Google documents reveal the search engine's use of various factors like clicks, links, content, entities, and Chrome data for ranking. These insights, analyzed by experts such as Rand Fishkin and Michael King, highlight the importance of link diversity, successful clicks, brand recognition, and specific content attributes in determining search rankings. Aleyda Solis has aggregated all the available resources about the leak in the Google Sheets document. Google won't index sites that do not work on mobile devices after July 5 Google announces that after July 5, 2024, it will crawl and index all remaining sites using only the Googlebot Smartphone crawler, completing the final step in its migration to a mobile-first index for Google Search. SEO for AI Overviews Cyrus Shepard recently experimented with appearing in Google's AI Overviews by updating webpage content to match the AI-generated summary.
