​ On the Blog: Easy Cheesy Sausage and Quinoa Bites. Dave and I went to prom over the weekend -- he was a chaperone and I just tagged along! 😊 After hearing negative chatter about inappropriate dresses and teen behavior (in general, not Dave's school specifically), I prepared myself for the worst. Honestly, I was super impressed. Of course, the music (style and volume) wasn't my preference, but I thought the kids did great. They dressed nicely, they had fun, and they represented their school well. Sometimes, when I "worry" about parenting teens, Dave assures me that "by the time they graduate from high school, the vast majority are great kids who have things mostly figured out" 😉. I think we could all give teens a little more credit and a lot more grace (those are hard years to navigate!) My first time in a photo booth! ​ Simple Food. After all my power-washing last weekend, we decided we didn't want to look at our gross winter pool cover... so we opened the pool! Yes, the kids jumped in and yes, it was COLD! I'm so excited to use our outdoor spaces again! ​ ​ Bleeding Hearts -- One of my favorite spring blooms -- I just wish they bloomed for more than 2 weeks. ​ ​ The Countdown is On... Only 15 days until Summer break, and we are ready for it!
