Dave and I went to prom over the weekend -- he was a chaperone and I just tagged along! 😊
After hearing negative chatter about inappropriate dresses and teen behavior (in general, not Dave's school specifically), I prepared myself for the worst.
Honestly, I was super impressed. Of course, the music (style and volume) wasn't my preference, but I thought the kids did great. They dressed nicely, they had fun, and they represented their school well.
Sometimes, when I "worry" about parenting teens, Dave assures me that "by the time they graduate from high school, the vast majority are great kids who have things mostly figured out" 😉.
I think we could all give teens a little more credit and a lot more grace (those are hard years to navigate!)

The Countdown is On... Only 15 days until Summer break, and we are ready for it! Being a Christian school teacher doesn't come with many financial perks, but Dave and I regularly remind ourselves that 10 weeks off in the summer is WAY better than a bigger paycheck.
