Google CEO on the evolution of Search and SGE According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Google Search will continue evolving towards Search Generative Experience (SGE) by using AI to provide answers while still helping users navigate to websites for information. Pichai believes AI can improve Search but acknowledges the importance of carefully deploying the technology in a responsible manner to maintain users' trust. How Google will fight site reputation abuse spam Google confirmed it will fight site reputation abuse spam, which involves manipulating search rankings through third-party pages with little oversight from the host site, using both manual actions and algorithms when the new policy takes effect in May 2024. Google defends search quality and forum results statements Google's Search Liaison, Danny Sullivan, clarified his recent comments regarding the ranking of forum content like Reddit and Quora in search results. He emphasized that they aim to show relevant and useful content, including forum discussions when appropriate. Danny acknowledged concerns about surfacing forum content for medical queries and assured that feedback is being considered to improve the automated systems and overall search quality. Improving Search Console ownership token management Google Search Console now lets you check and remove unused ownership tokens, which helps prevent removed owners from regaining access to your property.
