SEC Twitter Hacked!

The official U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Twitter account seemed to have been "compromised" on Tuesday, posting a tweet falsely claiming the approval of the much-anticipated Bitcoin ETF.

This misinformation briefly led Bitcoin's price to surge, reaching as high as $47,680.10 before retracting to $45,627.92, as reported by CoinGecko.

US Interest in Bitcoin ETFs by State

Despite being the financial and technology centers of the US, New York came in 7th, and California placed 8th in nationwide Bitcoin ETF interest.

That said, US interest in Bitcoin ETFs is relatively even across the 51 states. Each state's share of Bitcoin ETF interest was between 0.7% and 3.8%.

In collaboration with Polygon, the Fox Corporation, overseeing renowned brands like Fox News, Fox Sports, and Tubi Media Group, has launched a new blockchain-driven platform named Verify.

This initiative is geared toward negotiating content licensing agreements with AI firms, ensuring proper usage of Fox Corporation's intellectual property.

Verify implements cryptographic signing of media assets, recording and tracking them within a secured database.

Crypto custody service BitGo received in-principle approval to function as a Major Payment Institution (MPI) in Singapore.

This license, sanctioned by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Singapore's central bank and regulatory authority, permits BitGo to operate while awaiting the issuance of a full license.

Once granted, the full license will authorize BitGo to provide digital payment token services to clients within Singapore.

Airdrop Season Never Stops

The Xai gaming network initiated the first major gaming token airdrop for 2024, distributing its XAI tokens to eligible users today.

As outlined by the Xai Foundation, they're allocating 125 million XAI tokens, equivalent to 5% of the total token supply, to eligible users. This includes holders of specific Xai NFTs and operators of Sentry Nodes, which act as validators supporting the network.

Additionally, crypto exchange Binance facilitated customers in earning XAI token rewards before the launch by staking various cryptocurrencies through the Binance Launchpool.
