Ordinals Debate Heats Up

As Bitcoin surges above $44,000, reaching a 20-month high, increased network congestion accompanies the excitement. This surge in network activity has sparked a heated debate surrounding the NFT-like Ordinals project and BRC-20 tokens.

Ordinals remain at the center of controversy regarding their utilization on the Bitcoin blockchain. Bitcoin Core developer and Ocean Mining CTO Luke Dashjr strongly criticized Ordinals inscriptions and their impact on the Bitcoin network.

Coinbase To List Jito

Solana-based DeFi platform Jito is set to launch its highly anticipated airdrop this Thursday, coinciding with an immediate listing of the JTO token on Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in America.

JTO serves as the governance token for Jito, operating within the Solana blockchain. It ranks as the second-largest decentralized finance (DeFi) project on Solana, as per DeFi Llama data. Jito enables users to earn yields by staking their tokens on the network

Brazilian Expansion

Circle, the issuer behind the USDC stablecoin, revealed a partnership with prominent Latin American fintech Nubank, aiming to expand the accessibility of its dollar-backed digital asset.

Brazil, with a population exceeding 200 million, is advancing its own digital currency while major crypto entities like Coinbase and payment firm Ramp seek to bolster their footprint in the country. Over 70% of Brazilians already utilize Pix, a peer-to-peer digital payment application.
