The Ethereum scaling project, Polygon, has formally introduced three Polygon Improvement Proposals (PIPs) for its forthcoming Polygon 2.0 upgrade.

PIP-17 outlines "Phase 0" of Polygon 2.0, while PIP-18 suggests implementing the POL token to replace the existing MATIC token as the native gas and staking asset of the Polygon ecosystem. Lastly, PIP-19 calls for an upgrade of the native gas token on Polygon PoS from MATIC to POL while ensuring maximum backward compatibility.

Deutsche Bank, one of the world's leading banks, has formed a global partnership with Swiss-based crypto infrastructure firm Taurus SA to offer digital asset custody and tokenization services to its clients.

This partnership builds upon Deutsche Bank's previous engagement with Taurus, which included participation in a $65 million Series B funding round in February, led by Credit Suisse. This development comes after Deutsche Bank's application for a digital assets license with Germany's financial regulator, BaFin, earlier this summer.
