Coinbase (COIN) is set to acquire a minority stake in Circle Internet Financial, with both entities entrusting complete authority over the issuance and governance of USDC to Circle. This move involves the dissolution of the Centre Consortium, which was established to oversee the stablecoin.

While USDC is expanding to six additional blockchains, the specific platforms have not been specified.

Ether experienced a decrease in value as a wallet linked to Vitalik Buterin transferred 600 ETH to Coinbase.

The second-largest cryptocurrency globally traded at $1,660 at 12:25 p.m. ET, marking a 0.5% decline within the last 24 hours. Over the past week, Ether has seen a decrease of more than 10%, as reported by CoinGecko.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed charges against Titan Global Management, a fintech investment adviser based in New York, for securities violations involving cryptocurrency custody.

The SEC claims that Titan employed deceptive hypothetical performance metrics in its advertisements, including showcasing "annualized" performance outcomes of as much as 2,700% for the Titan Crypto strategy, according to an official statement.
