TSA Seeks Public Comment on Vetting of Designated Surface Transportation Employees The Transportation Security Administration is seeking comments from stakeholders and the riding public about hiring practices for security sensitive employees and security coordinators. The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) includes a requirement for increased vetting of candidates serving in both roles. The NPRM implements a requirement from the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 (9/11 Act).
