Lido opens the floodgates, Geckos!

Checks-mate!

The artist behind the successful Checks NFT collection, Jack Butcher, has announced a new collection called Checks Elements, which will be displayed and auctioned off at Christie's.

Consisting of 152 pieces, the collection will incorporate the four classical elements, each with its own NFT and physical version.

The NFT collection is also divided into 6 different rarities, where the rarest tier, known as "Alpha", is made up of just 4 pieces, 3 of which will be auctioned off tomorrow.

Zimbabwe Goes for Gold

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has received over $39 million US dollars - or 14 billion Zimbabwe dollars - worth of bids to purchase their new gold-backed digital tokens.

Despite a warning by the IMF to seek more conventional solutions to their macroeconomic hurdles, the token sale was a huge success, with 135 applications submitted.

Backed by 139.57 kilograms of pure gold, individuals could purchase anywhere upwards of $10 worth of tokens, which can be held on e-gold wallets and cards after a minimum vesting period of 180 days.

Bedrock Confirmed

Layer-2 rollup, Optimism has decided to initiate its mainnet upgrade, called Bedrock, on June 6th.

While the upgrade is being performed, there will be two to four hours of downtime where all transactions on Optimism will be halted.

Once the upgrade is complete, node operators will also be required to deploy a new Bedrock node.
