Days after the Tornado Cash DAO was attacked, the attacker has submitted a new proposal which mostly reverts the damage they've caused.

On May 18, the DAO accidentally voted in the attacker's malicious proposal which enabled them to grant themselves 1.2 million TORN tokens, which gave them control over the DAO. They then swapped 380,000 of the newly-gotten TORN tokens for 372 ETH and ran it back through the privacy protocol.

AI moves markets

A fake, AI-generated image of a Pentagon explosion caused the stock market to dip briefly.

The image was first posted on the now-suspended verified Twitter account "Bloomberg Feed", which is a fake account not affiliated with the actual media conglomerate.

The post quickly gained traction and was shared by multiple media outlets, including the Russian-state controlled media outlet Russia Today to its 3 million Twitter followers and the Indian media outfit Republic to its 2.8 million Twitter followers.
