| | Join FTA for an Earth Day Event on Thursday, April 20 at 2:30 p.m. ET to celebrate the accomplishments of transit agencies as part of FTA's Sustainable Transit for a Healthy Planet Challenge. During the virtual event, FTA will recognize transit leaders who committed to actions to curb their greenhouse gas emissions. FTA's Climate Challenge encourages transit agencies to take bold actions and prioritize investments to help tackle the climate crisis. Since the launch of the Challenge in June 2021, 220 agencies have signed on. Over 90 of the participating agencies have developed climate action plans that outline strategies to achieve measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
