We're back into the swing of things after 10 days out of our normal routine for Spring Break; and thanks to intentionally planning freezer meals on Monday and Tuesday, I'm all caught up on housework, yard work, blog work, and... laundry! Fun fact, our main-floor washer has twice the capacity (left basket) as our basement washer (right basket). I enjoyed this 4-minute video from Joshua Becker (Becoming Minimalist) revealing 21 shocking stats about how much stuff we own... yikes!! We finally read Dick King-Smith's "Babe" to our kids! This was one of my childhood favorites (read a portion of it free online). I can vividly remember watching the movie in 5th or 6th grade, and I just reserved it from our local library for an upcoming movie night! Speaking of family movie nights, dozens of you have emailed me about the JESUS Film Project (also free online). Apparently, it's suitable for children, so it's on our shortlist of movie night options -- perfect timing for Holy Week. This week, Dave and I bribed our children with a big box of candy if they each memorize Matthew 28:1-10 (and say it to us) before Easter. Of course, I need to help Clara since she can't read yet, and it's just about the cutest thing ever. I'll see if I can get a video for you next week. Also, kids are SO good at memorization! This is currently my vision for our future front yard veggie garden. We'll see what transpires over the next month... Since a handful of you have asked, here's our tentative Easter menu:
