Shopify Blog I started a $10M business while working a full-time job. Here's my story. Hey there, I'm David Gaylord. My skincare business, Bushbalm, is on pace to drive $10-12M in revenue this year. And it all started with $900 in funding and a full-time day job at Shopify. I've learned a lot over the past 4+years. There were unexpected lessons about running a business while working at Shopify, but many things I had to learn firsthand. Truthfully, my mistakes have probably taught me more than anything else. Something I've learned about myself is that I love helping other entrepreneurs succeed. The time and energy we invest in our businesses pays us back in hard-won experience; experience we should share freely to support the next class of creators and builders.
