Ahead of Earth Day on Thursday, fewer Americans than a year ago say the environment should have priority over economic growth, and fewer are worried that environmental protection is lacking. On the other hand, with environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals refocusing the C-suite, most workers in the U.S. say that a potential employer's environmental record factors into whether they would work for that company. Global warming also remains a concern for most Americans.
