- 6 Practical Tips to Simplify Your Life
Every September, after Dave and the kids head back to school and the weather starts to cool down, my passion for homemaking reignites.
I mean, I always love being home, and I will always preach the value of homemaking, but if I'm totally honest, I don't always love taking care of our home every. single. day.
It can feel like an endless, sometimes thankless, job.
I know you can relate.
Back in 2007, I began writing online to help others simplify their homes and lives (in hopes that they would enjoy their homes and lives more as a result). Now, all these years later, my hope is still to encourage, empower, and equip you in your role as Homemaker -- whether it's your full-time gig or something you squeeze into the margins of a very full life.
It's not glamorous work, it's not well-paid, and it's certainly not the most important thing in life... but it IS a blessing to you and your family (whether they acknowledge it or not).
Cheers to home! 💕

In other news...
School Pictures: Our middle school had pictures yesterday morning... and, let's just say, the difference between an 8th-grade girl and a 6th-grade boy getting ready for picture day is laughable.😆
Lunchbox Jokes: These lunchbox jokes for kids would be a fun addition to school lunches.
Healthy Half Birthday: Simon is on a healthy-eating kick and won't eat sweets. To celebrate his half-birthday, I made a half-batch of chocolate zucchini brownies, subbing 1/2 c. honey for the sugar and making a chocolate "mouse" frosting by whipping Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, and maple syrup. He was thrilled, and it tasted pretty good.
Our Meal Plan
