Join FTA for a webinar on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 1:00 PM Eastern to learn how federal charter bus regulations apply to transit, especially for major events. FTA is committed to assisting public transit agencies, private bus operators, and host cities as they prepare to move millions of spectators and personnel for events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games. FTA staff will describe federal requirements relating to charter bus services and answer questions. Registration is required. DOT is laying the groundwork in preparation for the World Cup next year, which kicks off a decade of America in the global sports spotlight. Last month, FTA released a video series with information on policies, requirements, and considerations for World Cup host cities.
