Certain conditions bring out your best. Your strengths explain why some tasks feel natural and others wear you out. When you know how you grow best, everything changes. Start here: | | What Feels Easy? New Research Reveals Strengths Patterns | Gallup researchers asked over 3,000 adults to rate how easy or difficult they'd find common work situations — things like task switching, unclear instructions or meeting new people. Then they paired those responses with participants' CliftonStrengths to explore how different talents shape the way people experience everyday work. This month, we're focusing on the Influencing and Strategic Thinking domains. The findings reveal who you can rely on when you need a voice of clarity and vision in the chaos. Influencing Domain: Composure in Conflict People with Influencing strengths shine when tensions run high and the stakes are visible. These individuals often step in when others hesitate. For example, those high in Command® are more likely to say it's easy to bring order to a spiraling meeting or navigate conflicting instructions from leaders. People with Activator® are more likely to say it's easy to stay composed in a tense debate or juggle multiple urgent deadlines. And overall, people who lead with Influencing talents are more likely to say it's easy to deal with negativity, confrontation and making split-second decisions. When you need someone to speak up, redirect energy or take the lead, these are the people you want in the room. Strategic Thinking Domain: Calm in Complexity Those with Strategic Thinking strengths thrive when others feel stuck. They bring clarity to complex situations by asking better questions, seeing patterns and keeping long-term goals in view. People high in Strategic® and Futuristic® talents are more likely to say it's easy to navigate conflicting instructions on how to complete a task, and those with Futuristic are also more likely to say it's easy to juggle multiple fast-paced projects with competing deadlines. Those with Ideation® are more likely to embrace it when teammates are constantly trying new things. While meeting new people may be challenging for some who lead with this domain, they make up for it with insight, foresight and originality. When the road ahead is uncharted, these thinkers can map the path. | | Let Strengths Guide Your Growth | | Your strengths shape how you learn, grow and lead. When you rely on what comes naturally, development becomes not only easier — it endures. Each strength matures in its own way. Analytical® talents deepen through questioning assumptions and seeking truth. Learner® builds energy by exploring new topics. Achiever® improves through consistent effort. Maximizer® thrives by continuously refining what's already strong. More than just patterns of behavior, these are clues to your best path forward. | | | | The more you understand your strengths, the more intentionally you can stretch and apply them productively. Even better, you can ask others to support your growth in ways that truly help. Ask yourself: - What kind of challenges motivate me to improve?
- What routines or settings help me build momentum?
- Who brings out the best in my learning or progress?
