THIS WEEK ON THE BLOG:
- Rhubarb Crisp with a crunchy oat topping.
- 2 Steps to a (mostly) weed-free yard.
- Our favorite DIY face cleanser + makeup remover.
The picture above pretty much sums up "Spring" in West Michigan -- the flowers and trees are trying to bloom, but the snow won't leave us alone either.
Our family is enjoying a little time away from school and work for Spring Break, so I'll keep things short today.
I'd love to hear from you if you try (and enjoy) one of my recipes or if you successfully implement a tip that helps you simplify your home and life!
Have a wonderful week,
simple food. It's that time of year already... rhubarb season! I love rhubarb, and since we're finally growing it in our garden again, I get to pick as much as I want for free! This Rhubarb Crisp is so simple to whip up. It's a delicious balance of sweet & sour, with an amazingly crunchy whole grain (gluten-free) topping. Yum!
organized home. This post from last spring has some of the most updated pictures of our landscaping. I also share the 2 fairly simple steps we use to keep our yard mostly weed-free (and to keep weeds from coming back as aggressively.)
intentional living. I first shared my DIY Face Cleanser and Makeup Remover in 2010... and all these years later, Dave and I (and a couple of our kids) still use the same "recipe" every night. It's so easy, super frugal, and produces great results!
