For the first time in my adult life, I have bulbs growing in my yard -- Daffodils! 🌼
Last summer, I helped a friend from church dig up hundreds of bulbs (they have thousands) and they gave me 2 big bags to take home.
It looks like most of them are already sprouting and I'm so excited to have flowers in just a couple of weeks!
It's amazing how a few pops of green and one 70º day make it feel like spring (even if it did snow again this week!)
I already put the snow pants away (I might regret this) and thoroughly enjoyed looking out my freshly washed windows on that sunny 70º day!
Bring on more spring, please!
simple food.
I eat lots of salads year-round, but especially in the spring when everything feels fresh and "in season".
If you're looking for yummy, easy, frugal salads, I've got over a dozen recipes to choose from (as well as a fantastic tip to keep your lettuce fresher longer!)
This simple mindset shift could totally transform the way you view your stuff, and streamline your home and life in the process (just in time for some major spring decluttering!)
Mother-Son Night -- It's not often I get away with just one of the boys (they have the same hobbies and interests) but since Simon is in middle school, I got James all to myself for Mother-Son night at the elementary school. Kind of fun for a change!
Another photo book -- Simon's 10-year-old book was officially my 60th digital photo book ordered through Blurb in the last 18 years! I made my first book during our first spring break as a married couple... and I haven't stopped. Here's how I make our kids' books in about 3 hours
Taxes made simple -- for almost 20 years, I've used this ridiculously simple method to organize all the tax documents for our family and my business. When it's time to send our information to the accountant in February, it takes me less than 30 minutes to get everything ready to go!
our menu: I've got a "light week" of cooking due to 2 evening/dinner events!
Leftover roast turned into beef stew, roasted veggies, applesauce
Chicken and potato soup, rolls, fruit, crackers & cheese
