They're seriously running out of ideas
March 11, 2025 | Read Online | | | Featured content | | | They are running out of ideas on what to add to an iPhone to have the confidence to upgrade the number. | And they're not the only ones — the phone industry has reached a maturity point. | iPhone 12 and 13 up to 16 are basically the same thing. | People like me would always upgrade because we like new stuff — but the small differences like camera are not going to matter in 95% of cases to 95% of users. | I'm really not seeing the point of a foldable phone too much. | The main pro they all say is how the small screen can fold out into a larger screen space to make for something like a tablet. | If they can find a way to drastically reduce the thickness of the screen so the device isn't so bulky when folded, then maybe it makes sense. | Even then it doesn't look like it'll be ideal. | | Would you rather have a normal-thickness phone + a paper for a tablet?
