Is Michael Saylor In Trouble? 📈📉
MicroStrategy (MSTR) dropped 16.2% on Thursday despite Bitcoin (BTC) hitting a record high near $100,000.
The decline comes after a meteoric rise for MSTR, which is up more than 500% in 2024. It plummeted shortly after Citron Research's Andrew Left criticized the stock's valuation in a posting on X. Citron wrote, "Now that Bitcoin investing is easier than ever, MicroStrategy's volume has completely detached from BTC fundamentals."
Citron previously suggested that MicroStrategy was the ultimate way to invest in Bitcoin but now suggests that the stock is "overheated." The stock commentary website is now shorting MSTR to hedge its Bitcoin position.
