Cooking and baking with pumpkin is a once-a-year thing for me. I know I could use pumpkin all year long, but there's something special about saving it just for November and then going crazy making and eating all things pumpkin. So far, we've enjoyed pumpkin bars, pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin waffles, and I'm certain I'll make at least one pumpkin pie before the month is over. Then, I'll pack up my pumpkin recipes until next year when we'll enjoy them all over again. Although I'm not sharing any pumpkin-specific posts or recipes this week, I do have more tips to simplify and streamline the upcoming holiday season. Favorite Tea: Many of you know that I've been trying to "teach" myself to enjoy hot beverages (going on 4 years now). Well, I finally found a hot beverage I actually like -- Honey Vanilla Chamomile Tea. Sometimes I add a bit of honey to it, but mostly I drink it plain. It's good any time of day, it's wonderful for a sore throat, and it's caffeine-free. IF - Such a Great Movie! We watched IF (Imaginary Friend) last weekend and it was such a lovely movie our entire family enjoyed. It has an amazing line-up of actors and actresses, a fantastic plot line, and it's funny + sad + heartwarming + surprising all at the same time. It's also free on Amazon Prime! Throwback Picture: This is one of my favorite "Fall" pictures of the kids -- at least the 3 oldest kids as Clara wasn't in the picture yet (literally!) Nora is still that girly, James is still that happy, and Simon is still that sweet (most of the time 🥰) Visit my blog! ...for I have learned to be content, whatever the circumstances.
