It's been 20 years, to the day, since Dave and I enjoyed our 3rd "date" -- a fun Fall weekend with our college friends (Dave still wears that sweatshirt).
I should mention that our 3rd date was the day after our 2nd date... which was 2 days after our 1st date. I was 19, and we were engaged 8 months later. ð
When you know, you know... right? But it sure doesn't feel like more than half my life ago!
This week on the blog, I have some fun new + updated content for those of you looking for a new pumpkin recipe, those of you navigating the empty-nest phase of life, and those of you in the trenches of seemingly never-ending busyness.
Happy Fall!
simple food.
Every year, I try at least one new pumpkin recipe... and this delicious Double-High Pumpkin Pie was my recipe in 2021 (it won me 2nd place in a local pie baking contest too!)
This pie is easy to make, but it looks fancy... and it tastes amazing! ð
Transitioning to an empty nest can be challenging for many parents, but it's also a great opportunity to refresh your home and make the most of this new chapter!
This week, I share 10 tips, specifically geared toward helping empty-nester parents declutter their homes and reclaim their spaces.
If you're tired of being tired and busy, I've got good news... you can make choices (starting today) to relieve some of the busyness and stress from your life!
Non-Partial, Not-Negative News: I've enjoyed The Pour Over weekly news emails for several years and would love to help them reach their goal of 1,000,000 subscribers by election day!
They only need a few thousand more... so if you're looking for a great source of news without all the negativity or political biases, check them out -- it's free and their writers are so clever!
Back to a 21st-century kitchen: After over a week without a working refrigerator, over 2 weeks without a working dishwasher, and over 6 months without a working ice maker, our new scratch and dent appliances were finally delivered yesterday and our kitchen is back up to modern standards. ð
I know it's totally "first world problems" but I certainly enjoy being in my kitchen more with working appliances!
