While both the global crypto market and Bitcoin have yet to experience any days of correction so far this year, it remains to be seen if that will be the case for the rest of 2024. Read more Oracle technology for all! 🔮   The DeFi Education Fund (DEF) has reached an agreement with the IT service provider, True Return Systems (TRS), to purchase a patent for oracle-like technology, putting an end to legal disputes with MakerDAO and Compound.   Described by DEF as a 'patent troll', TRS had sued the two DeFi protocols for supposedly using their technology earlier in 2022. However, DEF, along with lawyers from both platforms, have disputed those claims, stating that the lawsuit could infringe upon the rights of crypto developers and users. TRS had also planned to block the protocols from creating or selling products built on top of the technology, but that motion never came to fruition.   With the patent now secured by DEF, this means that MakerDAO, Compound and other DeFi protocols are free to continue operating and using oracle-like technology.   However, DEF has chosen not to disclose the amount paid to TRS for the purchase of the patent.   Who doesn't want airdrops? The exact method used to extract the Bitcoin from the victims remains unclear.   Debridge Airdrop Checker Live. Solana bridge Debridge, has announced the establishment of the Debridge Foundation and revealed that over 490K wallets are eligible for the airdrop.   VCs on Flight to Quality. A Pitchbook report indicates that venture capital funds are making fewer but larger investments in Q2. This trend indicates that investor interest in cryptocurrencies remains strong, with VCs now prioritising quality over quantity.   AI and Prediction Markets Merge. AI search engine Perplexity, will now include information from Polymarket in searches. Polymarket will also use Perplexity to summarise news content.
