Biden bows out 📜

Joe Biden's recent exit from the 2024 presidential race has had interesting ramifications throughout the crypto space.

Notably, the Jeo Boden memecoin plunged by 59% from $0.023 to less than $0.01 since Biden's announcement on X.

On the other hand, memecoins associated with his rival, Donald Trump, rose significantly following the news, with the likes of MAGA and TREMP spiked by 10% and 24%, respectively.

However, both tokens have since retraced the move, falling lower by 5% on the day.

Elsewhere, the prediction markets on the Polymarkets platform have seen increased volatility, with the odds of Kamala Harris' nomination surging to 84% after she was endorsed by Biden.

Unfortunately, this also means that Biden's odds have now plummeted to zero, causing one unlucky Polymarket user to lose more than $1.8M on his prediction.

Members of the crypto community believe that Biden's exit opens up room for the Democrats to shift their stance on crypto. Yet, we can't say for sure whether his replacement will be backing such a move. In either case, empty promises are still something to be wary of, whether they pertain to crypto or not.

Crossing the cosmos 🌌

The Cosmos-based Keplr wallet is adding support for EVM blockchains, including Ethereum and its Layer-2s.

With its latest integration, users will be able to view and transfer their Ethereum-based assets directly from the Keplr wallet.

Through the utilization of EIP-6963, which supports multi-injected providers, Kepler can be used seamlessly across dApps on different networks without having to switch between wallets.

The beta version of the Keplr wallet with EVM support is expected to arrive in the coming weeks, however the timeline has yet to be finalized.
