Stuck on Solana π Are your transactions failing on Solana? Then you're not alone. Over the past week, users on Solana have faced issues of congestion on the network, with plenty of delayed and failed transactions. Although the network's congestion was largely due to the massive influx of spam transactions created by bots, users and developers had their own theories as to what had attracted more of these bots to Solana in the first place. 0xMert, the co-founder of Helius Labs, pointed fingers at an unnamed infrastructure provider that was abusing a bug on Solana to generate profits.
Besides that, some users believe that the spam transactions are due to the launch of a new mining token on Solana called ORE.
In fact, ORE miners are averaging close to 1M transactions and above per hour, according to a Dune dashboard by Arman Arjomandi.
More transactions typically reflect increased demand for the network's gas token hence pushing up the price, however, SOL actually fell by 3.1% from $189.78 to $183.82 today. Editor's Take: While it seems as though Solana's network performance is much worse than before, transactions are still going through, albeit with a slight delay. Users can try increasing their gas fees or changing their RPC endpoints to ones with lower latency. |
