France Opens Its Arms

Stablecoin issuer Circle has acquired regulatory approval for digital assets in France and named a new Head of French Operations.

Additionally, crypto exchange Coinbase has received registration from France's markets regulator, obtaining approval as a virtual asset service provider, as per CNBC reports.

In other news, Axie's evolution feature goes live, 3AC's joint liquidators estimate creditors will receive 45.74% of claims, and Amboss Technologies has launched Ghost addresses, allowing users to receive payments directly into their custody.

Bitcoin Holdings in ETFs

ETFs hold around 793,034 BTC in total, or 3.8% of the max Bitcoin supply. This includes the 622,657 BTC in Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, which is pending approval to convert into an ETF.

Excluding GBTC, existing ETFs account for just 0.8% of max Bitcoin supply.

Axie's Evolution!

In a significant update to the play-to-earn game Axie Infinity, Sky Mavis developers have introduced a "Stage 2" evolution for the game's Monster NFT characters which enables the NFTs to evolve as they are played with.

With over 250 customizable "parts" available for evolution, these enhancements aim to boost each Axie's combat abilities and visual aesthetics.

Liquidators handling the closure of Three Arrows Capital have projected creditors will recover 45.74% of their claims from the bankrupt estate.

The estimated asset value stood at $1.16 billion on Dec. 18, while expected claims for distribution total $2.7 billion. Initial payouts are planned for the first quarter of the upcoming year.
