I often need to spin up a simple web server for a project. This is particularly true when working with ES modules or service workers, both of which require a server to test locally.
I typically spin something up in the command line using one of the server methods listed in this collection Will Bowers cataloged. But sometimes that's annoying, and not everyone is comfortable opening up a Terminal window to run a server.
So I was really excited when Simple Web Server came across my inbox.
This little utility app for macOS, Windows, and Linux can be used to quickly spin up local servers for various projects, each with their own port number so you can run multiple things at once.
This looks like an amazing resource!
Cheers,
Chris
