After the news of Sam Altman's departure from OpenAI, the WLD token linked to the iris-scanning biometric initiative Worldcoin, also founded by Altman, experienced a 14% drop. However, WLD has since rebounded by 11.1% to $2.57 after Microsoft hired Sam.

Altman was removed from his role as CEO of OpenAI due to a board review that identified a lack of transparent communication, impacting the board's duties and eroding confidence in his leadership.

In other developments, financial services giant Fidelity files for an ETH ETF, Argentina's new president is a big fan of Bitcoin, while dYdX and Kronos Research have become the latest victims of on-chain attackers.

The Fidelity Ethereum Fund would be listed by an exchange owned by Cboe Global Markets, which posted the filing that revealed the existence of the proposed product.
