Coinbase, the cryptocurrency exchange operator, has been granted a Major Payment Institution license by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

This license allows Coinbase's Singapore entity to expand its range of Digital Payment Token services for both retail and institutional customers in the region and solidify its partnerships with local institutions, including Standard Chartered.

Giving Back To The Community

VanEck has announced its intention to donate 10% of its Ethereum Strategy exchange-traded fund (ETF) to The Protocol Guild, a collective consisting of 152 Ethereum core protocol contributors.

This donation is set to last for a minimum of 10 years. The move has garnered positive responses from the wider Ethereum community. VanEck is currently gearing up to launch its Ethereum Strategy ETF (EFUT), which primarily involves investing in ether futures contracts.

Su Zhu, the co-founder of Three Arrows Capital, was reportedly apprehended at a Singaporean airport while attempting to leave the country. The move came after Su allegedly failed to comply with a court order to cooperate with an investigation involving the liquidation of a crypto hedge fund associated with him, and he was sentenced to four months in prison, according to Bloomberg News.

FTX Exploiter On The Move

According to publicly available blockchain data, approximately 2,500 ether (worth around $4 million) linked to the apparent exploit of FTX during last year's incident has recently started moving for the first time in almost a year.

These funds were split across various transactions, with 700 ether being transferred via the Thorchain Router, 1,200 ether via Railgun (a privacy-focused DeFi wallet), and 550 ether remaining in another wallet.

The exploiter still holds 12,500 ether (about $21 million) in their original wallet.
