Organization: Minnesota Towards Zero Deaths Join the annual Minnesota Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) Statewide Conference! The event serves as a forum for sharing information on best practices in engineering, enforcement, education, and emergency medical/health services and for identifying new approaches to reducing the number of traffic fatalities and life-changing injuries on our roads. This year's conference, scheduled for November 14 (full day) and November 15 (half day), will be a hybrid event. The in-person option will be held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota; the conference general session on November 15 and select concurrent sessions will be available for live virtual viewing as well. In the opening plenary, "High In Plain Sight: Current Drug and Impaired Individual Trends," Jermaine Galloway, Tall Cop Says Stop, will provide in-person attendees with the ability, knowledge and confidence to help prevent and identify individuals who are abusing drugs and/or alcohol. In-person attendees will also be taught the strategies and different terms that are consistent with alcohol and/or drug abuse. Dia Gainor, Executive Director, National Association of State Emergency Medical Services Officials, will be the keynote speaker at the November 15 morning plenary highlighting post-crash care and provide an overview of the components critical to survival when there are severely injured people.
