Nexus Mutual, a decentralized insurance platform, has extended its coverage to UK shopkeepers through a partnership with InShare, a company that oversees mutual insurance organizations.

The partnership sees Nexus adding some of its $274 million on-chain capacity to The Retail Mutual insurer, comprising over 5,000 shopkeepers and small retail businesses.

This collaboration aims to simplify the integration of various DeFi protocols, including externally linked applications like lending and borrowing protocols, as well as derivatives markets.

Uniswap, one of the most popular DEXs in crypto, has been successfully launched on Coinbase's layer-2 network, Base.

Following the integration, Uniswap on Base has already processed over 11,700 transactions and facilitated approximately $3.65 million in trading volume.

This positions it as the fourth-largest DEX in terms of trading volume on the Base network behind RocketSwap, BaseSwap, and SushiSwap.
