How's it going?
Hello friend,
How's it going? I hope you're doing great today.
About a week ago I send you an email about my new book called the JavaScript Basics Handbook which got published in freeCodeCamp.
If you have read it, could you let me know if there's anything I can do to improve it? My book can only get better with the reader's feedback.
Anyway, today I want to let you know about my upcoming JavaScript course, called The JavaScript Tutorial.
This course is designed to help you learn JavaScript in a practical way without losing the depth required to make you confident in coding with JavaScript.
Many people set out to learn JavaScript, and most of them fail because they spend a lot of time-consuming learning materials, that never really 'show' them how to code in JavaScript on their own.
While there is an abundance of material available to help you learn JavaScript (both free and paid) most of them had many problems:
- They prioritize speed and quantity of learning materials over real-depth knowledge
- Many course push on advanced topics (React, Vue) without covering the JavaScript fundamentals
- Without understanding JS as a programming language, most tutorials jumped on using JS on the browser. This is wrong because you should learn JS as a stand-alone programming language first
- Course without exercise and support, making you learn passively
My JavaScript course want to change how you learn JavaScript. I will add exercises that help you get the most out of the learning materials, and I will always be here to support your journey.
Right now, the course has part 1 done (JS Basics), there are many more coming soon:
- JavaScript and the DOM
- Modules
- Prototypes
- Classes
- Working with Files
- Handling errors with try catch
- Network request using JavaScript
- The weird parts of JavaScript - Avoiding common pitfalls and mistakes
When I finished these topics, the price of the course will be $39, but right now you can get it for $19 because you supported me early.
Get the course for $̶3̶9̶ $19The course will also have text and video materials. The money gathered in the pre-order phase will be used to buy recording equipment. I also need to learn how to edit and polish the videos.
The course would also include more illustrations for visual learning. For example, I created a visual for JavaScript Variables here:
This is the first of many courses. I hope to make many courses that help people all over the world learn programming.
That's all I have for you today. As always, thanks for reading my emails and supporting my work.
Cheers :)
Nathan
